A call came in on Friday, urgent assistance needed to get banners and leaflets ready for a showroom launch event… on Tuesday!

They’d already sourced a printer for the banners, so it was just the artwork for a roller banner and a large PVC curtain that was needed for first thing Monday along with design and print of a double sided A5 flyer – and with about 48 working hours to go!

The banners were ready Tuesday morning, and the leaflets delivered with about half an hour to spare in the afternoon (and we even managed some helium filled balloons in the company colours too).

Launch of the Around the World Communication website

Today we were pleased to have helped launch the website(s!) for the Paris-based creative business writing and translation company ‘Around the World Communication’. Two identical sites were created, one in English and one French.

In an extract from the press release accompanying the launch, director Suzanne Champion explains that the company offer “borderless and time-effective products that facilitate trans-cultural messaging, Around the World Communication is innovating with a ‘pick ‘n’ mix’ style of PR package: incorporating press kits and different content-writing offers, as well as a 360° editorial stand alone product range.”

Promoting your summer events

Despite the rain (again) today, summer is on the way… and with it comes outdoor events, fun days, promotional events, fêtes and festivals.

Designing for Rugby’s Business of the Year

June 10th was the annual Rugby Business Awards (that’s Rugby the town, not the sport). Marianne was invited along as a guest of local beauty salon Perfection Beauty, having worked with them for some time on managing their busy website, producing printed materials for the salon such as loyalty cards, price lists and gift vouchers and producing monthly advertisements for local publications, most of which include Dolly (left), who was created in June 2010 to present Perfection in their promotional materials.

Perfection were entered into 4 categories… they were awarded a third place, two runner-up awards and – the big one – winners of Rugby Business of the Year 2011!

A big congratulations to everyone at Perfection. We look forward to continuing to work with you!

Customise your Twitter account

Do you Tweet? If so, does your profile reflect your brand, or have you just installed your favourite template from the small selection offered by Twitter? Maybe you haven’t even got that far? The bottom line is, your profile looks like thousands of others and is not immediately recognisable as Yours.

We offer a complete Twitter branding package; a profile isn’t just about a nice background. There is also the sidebar to think about, the colour of your text and links and your little profile image. We’ll create all of these to match your existing website* or marketing materials. (As well as presenting a consistent image to your customers, your own corporate colour scheme in the corner of your eye serves as a reminder you are in ‘work mode’ when whiling away the time reading what all your followees are up to!)

If you don’t have the Twitter account yet and don’t know where to start in setting it up, don’t worry, we can do that too. We will also provide the code to add a link to your new profile on your website and an overview on how to use Twitter.

The Twitter packages costs £25 for a background and colour scheme, installed for you (or with details on how to do it yourself). Add £10 to set up the Twitter account from scratch.

The week at Meow Design

It’s been a busy old time this last few weeks and we have been trying to fit in a refresh of our own website amongst the ‘real’ work. There are still a few little bits and pieces to do, but we’re nearly there, launching quietly with this little blog post.

We’ve gained two new website projects over the last week, for a childbirth class and a sustainable heating provider, with potential for a third too. We’ve also been refining a design for a vehicle rental company before the site build begins and are finalising a website with both an English and a French version for a translation and business writing company based near Paris. Aside from that, there have been leaflets and cards printed, a Twitter background on the go and preparation of submissions for a regular client’s entry into a local business awards!
